Mother of two. I am an avid reader, sometimes writer, everyday technology master. I am an index of movie and television actors. I win every game of six degrees of Kevin Bacon. It's funny cause I love Bacon (not Kevin just bacon).
The story is told mostly from the perspective of a ten year old boy who along with his four year old sister is dealing with the disintegration of his parents’ marriage. Their break-up and his mothers odd behavior turns violent and the children are there baring witness to the whole mess. Mr. Grace has a way of forcing the reader to face the truth of how violence and abuse although not directed at our children still have an affect on them. Several times I found myself getting very angry with the characters and to me that is a sign of excellent writing. His characters are real and his story is a wonderful tale of forgiveness and survival.
Now those are two very fine libraries! Found you on the BookBlogs discussion. I haven't been blogging long either - I'm a writer but I blog about all sorts of other things too.
I still have not been able to get my husband to agree on my need for a library but a girl can dream. I love your blog and I look forward to reading your novel when it comes out in the U.S in september.
